Focus On the Pain Points - Empathy Mapping
The interview surveys reveal that the majority of creators find content creation and editing, material finding and usage, translation and subtitles, market demand and audience, technical issues, and platform limitations and sensitivity to be the primary challenges

After a thorough study of the user's video production process and user pain points, combined with Opus Clip'needs, we determined our design will focus on three aspects: Predict Market Trends, Provide Insights in Contents, and Video Data Analysis.

Initial Sketches

We started to sketch out our ideas based on the site map we created.
Typography & Colors

Opus Clip provides its own design system, including fonts, color palette, and grid system. Our role is to follow these guidelines to ensure visual consistency and maintain a professional standard.
Layout & Design Iteration - Understanding Users Eye Flow and What They Find Intuitive
Our initial layout emphasized competitors, which may overshadow data performance and trending topics. Since users have different content preferences, we revised the design to provide a more balanced view across all key areas.

Shifts from a split-grid to a scrollable layout, prioritizing platform performance first for clearer insight flow, while margin grids were added on each side to enhance visual balance and focus.

Added a view-all option, but too many data points caused visual clutter and made comparison harder.

Switched from separate platform cards to a unified graph for easier cross-platform comparison.

Adding a platform selection bar, enabling users to compare multiple metrics within a single platform or switch for cross-platform analysis.

The final version introduces a smart toggle: users can compare one metric across all platforms or view all metrics within a single platform for clearer, reduce users mental load.

Given the B2C nature of the product, understanding end-users and marketers was key. By quickly scoping the problem and market insights, we designed an engaging, user-friendly solution that met both user needs and market demands.
